Dear all, Yes, I am here! Could anyone add my site to ids example site? http://photos.happyman.idv.tw/ thanx!! Anybody here? :-) |

Here is a patch that adds zip file support file uploads. This is basically the same patch as before but with some changes after some feedback from David Smith. The previous patch added the date and time to the front of each file name to avoid over writing other files. This time it prepends a number to the beginning of the file only if that file exists. Feedback welcomed. Attached is a patch against 0.82 and the file itself (ids/admin/index.cgi). |

Hi all, Attached are 2 patch files. Zip upload has been added to the admin page. It prepends the current date and time to the file names contained in the zip. The module Archive::Zip is required. I was getting some warnings that seemed related to Carp, so that is commented out. The was also a prototype warning that I've fixed too. Other fixes were made in order to get the code to run correctly. Looking for some feedback. Jeff Macdonald |

Hi, I'm starting to think how this would be done. One problem that I can see is that there is no way to determine if the files that exist in the archive already exist on the web server's file system. One possible solution is to simply rename all files that are uploaded via the admin page. One possible file naming scheme would be to use a combination of the process id, the current date and time and a sequence number. For example: YYYYMMDDHHMMPIDSEQ.ext. I haven't reviewed all the code yet, but it seems that the thumbnails are generated when they are viewed after being uploaded. Any thoughts? |

CVS *was* up but then I realized I had totally mangled it so I just recently requested the whole repository to be cleaned out so I can re-upload it again. I haven't gotten around to re-uploading it just yet. Hi, I've just downloaded IDS this weekend. It's just what I needed. I've been browsing the feature requests. I'd like to work on adding these and having CVS access would help quite a bit so that code is in sync. I did some browsing of the mailing list and noticed other queries for CVS. I'd be willing to help out uploading a cvs tree. |

I fought with Image::Info for different reasons for hours before I gave up in disgust. Eg., it returns different data types for embedded comments if there's more than one line. I replaced that bit of code with an invocation of rdjpgcom. Simply having it *work* is worth having to spawn the subprocess. |

After finding and installing Info-Image-1.09 which compiles and tests fine, I now get this error with the same images.. I did some google searches and came up with some interesting tidbits. I'm curious what versions of ImageMagick/PerlMagick you all are running, I have 5.4.9. http://www.ecos.de/~mailarc/embperl/2002-09/msg00059.html Re: Apache::ImageMagick and Exception 410: Invalid attribute (text) I seems that more people haveing this problem, but I didn't came around and find some free time so far to install a new version of ImageMagick and see what is going wrong here. Sorry Gerald http://studio.imagemagick.org/pipermail/magick-users/2002-July/003469.ht ml Your script has failed _before_ this point. If you are doing: $result = $image -> Raise(geometry => '7x7'); say, there is no valid image in $image by this time. Add error checking and reporting to all previous steps. If even this shows nothing, it's because you've omitted some mandatory step. Eg: After calling new() you did not call something like Read('xc:white') to initialize the image. |

Great! I'll start with issue#1: I recently set up IDS (Today) on my server. Perl 5.00503 Redhat 6.2 After uploading an image to a gallery, I get a 500 Internal Server error web page. (its trying to access http://www.mypchelp.com/~dsmith/ids/admin/index.cgi?mode=viewalbum&album =/monterrey) I can hit reload till my fingers turn blue to only get the same message. In my apache error log: [Fri Oct 25 14:57:57 2002] index.cgi: Exception 410: Reference is not my type (Image::Magick) at ../idsShared.pm line 641. [Fri Oct 25 14:57:57 2002] [error] [client 207.248.41.195] Premature end of script headers: /home/dsmith/public_html/ids/admin/index.cgi I noticed that if I go to the normal page (/ids) and view the gallery, the new image appears, and then I am able to access the admin interface through problem url. Thanks, Dave |
