hello,
I've been using icopy for years with windows 7 without any problem
but I'm now obliged to use windows 10 with a new PC
I installed icopy and scanned one file
but the adress where I saved this file is blocked in the program, and everytime I try to scan another file, the program always wants to save it at the same adress.
I desinstalled the progam twice, but eveytime it keeps this adress.

I want to choose the adress of my file for each scan.
Again I try to download Icopy
He asked me to register in Program files and not in the desktop
so I don't understand that when I want to scan a file he asks me to find the program in the desktop.
I'm asking this information to understand where the problem is. If you send me the log file and the settings file I can maybe figure out what's wrong.
I'm not sure to know what is log file and setting file, but the path to the program Icopy is :
C:\Users\JC\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\iCopy
sorry, it was the adress of a (in french) "raccourci"
the adress of the program is C:\Program Files (x86)\iCopy
OK, but I need those two files, which are saved in a different directory (where Windows typically stores settings for programs). The folder is
C:\Users\JC\AppData\Local\iCopy. In there you should find two filesiCopy.logandiCopy.settings.I don't find Appdata

Right, the folder is hidden. Please copy this address:
C:\Users\JC\AppData\Local\iCopy, then click on the address bar (the bar where the pointer is in your last screenshot), and replace its content with the copied address. Then press enter. You should end up in that folder.adress Icopy on my PC with all files : see the attachment
That's not the path I told you to go to, but I see there are the iCopy.log and iCopy.settings file, for some reason. Can you please attach those here?

You can attach them from this webpage by clicking on add attachments below the reply box and then dragging them on top of the Choose Files button.

OK, my suggestion is that you remove these three files, and then you remove the files iCopy.log and icopy.settings from the folder
C:\Programmes (x86)\iCopy. This will delete all previously stored settings so that the program will start from scratch, and should ask the name of the file to save.sorry, I did it, but still the same bug

I'm not informatician at all, but sometimes I could have ideas of deductions
May be I could try to remove completly icopy and have a clean version
but how to be sure that there is no little file hided
because when I removed it the other times, it keeps make the same errors
And it seems uncredible that there is not a lot of people who complains of this bug
So the problem seems to be on my Pc
Once again it worked perfectly with windows 7
The only thing you need is to close iCopy, remove the
icopy.settingsfile both inC:\Programmes (x86)\iCopyandC:\Users\JC\AppData\Local\iCopyat the same time, and then start the program again. It will then start with the default settings. If you still encounter the problem, there is a bug which I need to address.
