Save presets instead of sessions

Hi,
I'd like it if a session couldn't be overwritten so easily. A session should be more like a preset that can be reused with temporary changes to the parameters. A “Save Preset” button would save a preset, and you could still make temporary changes to it. For example, a preset could be saved without source and destination directories. When you open it, you could enter different directories without changing the preset.
Hello,
I understand: the way grsync behaves, in regards to that, is different from the usual UIs you can find.
But, I need to be careful about changing such a basic behaviour after it's been out for 20 years.
What I can say, for now, is that you can mimic the behaviour you mentioned by opening a session and, first thing you do, is creating another one right away. That way you can have "templates".
Hope that helps
As a compromise, you could add a lock next to the trash can. The lock is open by default. Once closed, the session can no longer be changed.
that's a cool idea!
