After few discussions it seems that we're getting closer to 1.0 =20 release. Apparently, there is always many improvements that can be done at any =20 given time. What seemed to be a consensus of the mailing list is that =20 we try to stabilize the existing set of features, polish all we have, =20 make sure it does not break, translations look good, and the like. Then the plan would be to start working on bigger issues (database =20 backend, gnome-print integration, new reports) after 1.0 is released. Same would go for smaller (but important) issues like e.g. locale-=20 sensitive date parsing, which are good and useful things, but are not =20 exactly the defects as such. I realize that it is hard to objectively determine whether any given =20 issue should go into 1.0 or not. However, let's make an effort. Both Bugs and RFE trackers at sf.net/projects/gramps have now groups =20 titled "urgent", "1.0", and "post-1.0". If something is dear to you or =20 is bugging you in the last release, please post it (either to bugs or =20 RFE, as appropriate) and place it to the group you see fit, =20 accordingly. Nothing is final, we can re-assign the group if needed, so =20 file away those reports :-) The authors of existing tracker items, please assign your items to =20 either group when you get a chance, otherwise I'll do it with certain =20 degree of random inaccuracy :-) That way we can focus our efforts to get 1.0 out of the door in good =20 shape and then concentrate on another wave of big changes.
