Thanks for references.

It seems that both archives store the freefont proper which does not =20
have the true type fonts. All of the fonts included in the tarballs are =20
either bitmap or type 1.

We do need true type fonts covering most (or all) of the UCS. I guess =20
I'll have to contact debian maintainer to find the source of their ttf-=20
freefont package. If it is available to other distros (not only debian) =20
then we may just ask the users to install these fonts if they're not =20
there and the gnomeprint's preformance is desired.
