As I've mentioned before on this list, we are rapidly moving to a stable 1.0 release. Expect a 0.98 release in a week or so, followed by 1.0. Once 1.0 is released, we will continue to make minor enhancements and bug fixes to the 1.0.X line. Major new features will go into the 1.1.X branch, eventually hitting a stable 1.2 release. Since development of the 1.1 line will start fairly soon, now is the time to get out your ideas. If you can, please tell us: 1) What do you like about GRAMPS and don't want changed. 2) What you don't like about GRAMPS and what you think needs to be improved. Please also indicate your level of computer and Linux/FreeBSD expertise (new user, long time user, kernel hacker) and your level of genealogy expertise (casual, serious, fanatical). We can't guarentee that all requests will be accepted, however it will serve as guidance for us. Please note that most of the development team does not run Windows, so we don't really know what other (Windows-based) genealogy programs are doing. Thanks for your feedback. -- Don Allingham <dal...@us...> GRAMPS - Open Source Genealogy |
