Nick, >> There is a slight inconsisntency now, because the ID is still in the >> text after Source:, and to be consistent, I think it must be a read-only >> field. Maybe you can put it on the same line as Abbreviation, so that >> the source information is compact on screen. > The source selection widget is consistent with the place selection widget. I tried to look at that, but get consistent crashes when I try to select the location view: enno@enno-desktop ~/Gramps $ python Gramps.py 2014-03-05 19:59:29.016: ERROR: grampsapp.py: line 116: Unhandled exception Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/enno/Gramps/gramps/gui/views/treemodels/flatbasemodel.py", line 818, in do_get_value val = self._get_value(handle, col) File "/home/enno/Gramps/gramps/gui/views/treemodels/flatbasemodel.py", line 802, in _get_value return self.fmap[col](self.prev_data) File "/home/enno/Gramps/gramps/gui/views/treemodels/placemodel.py", line 191, in column_tag_color for handle in data[16]: TypeError: 'bool' object is not iterable 2014-03-05 20:00:07.248: ERROR: grampsapp.py: line 116: Unhandled exception Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/enno/Gramps/gramps/gui/views/listview.py", line 287, in foreground_color fg_color = model.get_value(iter_, model.color_column()) TypeError: unknown type (null) 2014-03-05 20:00:09.623: ERROR: grampsapp.py: line 116: Unhandled exception Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/enno/Gramps/gramps/gui/views/treemodels/flatbasemodel.py", line 818, in do_get_value val = self._get_value(handle, col) File "/home/enno/Gramps/gramps/gui/views/treemodels/flatbasemodel.py", line 802, in _get_value return self.fmap[col](self.prev_data) File "/home/enno/Gramps/gramps/gui/views/treemodels/placemodel.py", line 191, in column_tag_color for handle in data[16]: TypeError: 'bool' object is not iterable ^\Afgesloten (geheugendump gemaakt) Had to kill python with Ctrl-\ to get out, because this kept repeating itself. Just pulled from master, so this one's fresh. This happens on a database that was already version 4.1, so I guess this is related to your earlier message about importing new. When I open and upgrade a 3.4 database, everything's OK. Version numbers mentioned here are Gramps versions. With the fresh converted database, I see that locations have the label Place Title, so for source to be consistent, I say Source Title ... regards, Enno |
