I've just changed my operating systems to one that uses mainly Debian testing. I have two computers. On one I installed Gramps 3.4.6-1 and apart from having to also install python-central all went well. I have since upgraded that OS and Gramps still works OK. I then decided to install it on my other machine, which is already upgraded. Gramps said that python-osmgpsmaps was a required dependency, so I looked for it and found that there are a whole swag of dependencies that were not needed before (note this is the self same gramps deb I used on the other machine with the self same os). I gave up and went to go back to version 3.4.5 which I had been running happily for some time without python-central or the maps stuff. But it too has decided that it won't install without those dependencies. What is going on! I can't access my family trees until this is sorted. |
