With subversion we have a “sandbox” directory of branches to allow developers to use version control on their experiments. I submit that this is superfluous with git: Experiments can be version controlled locally. If Devs want to publish experimental work, perhaps to collaborate, the “git way” is to have a public fork with the experimental branch hosted on the public repo of the dev’s choice. There aren’t any sandbox branches at the moment; I propose only to remove the mention of the sandbox directory from the Wiki. Regards, John Ralls |
