Nick, I tried it with Gramps 3.4.2 (64bit) on Win7 (64bit): It would be nice to have a double click to go to an item in the list. It seems the tool searches in the complete base path for media? I see files not referenced by Gramps. One main issue: missing unicode or wrong character set: e.g. for German no 'äöüß... but wrong character': C:\ProgrammeNeutral\GrampsAIO64_342\bin>python.exe -EO "C:\ProgrammeNeutral\GrampsAIO64_342\share\gramps\gramps.py" C:\ProgrammeNeutral\GrampsAIO64_342\share\gramps\gui\grampsgui.py:334: PangoWarning: Invalid UTF-8 string passed to pango_layout_set_text() gtk.main() C:\ProgrammeNeutral\GrampsAIO64_342\share\gramps\gui\utils.py:260: PangoWarning: Invalid UTF-8 string passed to pango_layout_set_text() gtk.main_iteration() C:\ProgrammeNeutral\GrampsAIO64_342\share\gramps\gui\utils.py:288: PangoWarning: Invalid UTF-8 string passed to pango_layout_set_text() gtk.main_iteration() D:\GRAMPS\gramps34\gramps\gramps34\plugins\MediaVerify\MediaVerify.py:213: UnicodeWarning: Unicode equal comparison failed to convert both arguments to Unicode - interpreting them as being unequal if gramps_path not in file_path: D:\GRAMPS\gramps34\gramps\gramps34\plugins\MediaVerify\MediaVerify.py:221: UnicodeWarning: Unicode equal comparison failed to convert both arguments to Unicode - interpreting them as being unequal if os.path.basename(path) == gramps_name: 653546: ERROR: gramps.py: line 105: Unhandled exception Traceback (most recent call last): File "D:\GRAMPS\gramps34\gramps\gramps34\plugins\MediaVerify\MediaVerify.py", line 216, in verify_media text = '%s -> %s' % (gramps_path, file_path[0]) UnicodeDecodeError: 'utf8' codec can't decode byte 0xdf in position 17: invalid continuation byte Would you prefer responses / issues by email or by issue tracker in the future? - Helge |
