Note, GraphViz also has a specific design related to ID! It should be "any string of alphabetic ([a-zA-Z\200-\377]) characters, underscores ('_') or digits ([0-9]), not beginning with a digit; a numeral [-]?(.[0-9]+ | [0-9]+(.[0-9]*)? )" http://www.graphviz.org/doc/info/lang.html ie. workaround for adding such a sort feature should not use Gramps' id as key (index for sorting). There is a feature request[1] for generating a more global code, which might sort children by birthdate on family every time we need this (often on reports).
