You are right, 'updated' means to keep previous data! The migration path should be the priority (even as a New Addon). Maybe to assign previous data[0] into init() as a new text buffer (default), like before. To keep this data into .ini file and to display as a textual field. A simple Clear button in addition with the Copy/Edit one (default) will clear the data list and update the .ini file.
