I see one limitation by sharing citations: how to modify only one reference (eg, it was a shared citation without data and we need to modify it by adding one information but only for one referenced record). But we have the same type of limitation with most shared records (events, sources, etc ...). I have seen an other benefit (in addition of those listed on GEPS_023) for sharing empty citations into one common source: the database becomes more consistent! In my mind, this means all previous empty fields stored by source references could be now one empty set of fields. Note, census is a very particular type of source: http://www.gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php?title=GEPS_024:_Certificates#Current_Census_Limitations Jérôme Jérôme a écrit : > Peter, > >> Wondering if using the wizard is BAD idea, and if taking the time to >> do the transition by hand will be a lot smoother than trying to >> untangle a potential mess from the wizard. > > I am not certain of the wizard meaning? > > Is it the 'Merge citations' tool?
