Hello Ralph Regarding a blank view - I guess you mean that you don't see anything on the Graph View. Do you see any people in the People View? Have you set a default person in the People View. To do this you need to go Edit -> Set Home Person. You said that you are running on a fresh install of your distribution but re-using your home directory. The recommended approach when moving to a new machine or upgrading your O/S is to export your Gramps database then re-import it into a new empty database in your new installation. In Gramps 3.3 you can use Family Trees -> Make backup to export your database. Opening an existing database with a different distribution version is risky because the database software it provides might not be the same version that was used to create the database. As to the first problem, while doing futher reading I found both pygoocanvas and Graphviz missing from my install. This has been corrected. Gramps now loads with no error messages. However the faimly tree still does not display. The lower left hand conner of the screen states no active repository. The database repair tool is still insisting that 154 photos are still not in the path (they are there). So I still need so experts help to solve these problems. >-- >Ralph >------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >Keep Your Developer Skills Current with LearnDevNow! >The most comprehensive online learning library for Microsoft developers >is just $99.99!
