You can then create another filter to filter on this tag and use that for the website (a lot faster to filter on that as an extra plus). It is a way to use a filter to get most people you want, and then manually add the tag to the other people not yet included. I merged a part of the content from GEPS page to the wiki manual: http://gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php?title=Gramps_3.3_Wiki_Manual_-_Navigation#Tagging --- En date de : Dim 4.9.11, Benny Malengier <ben...@gm...> a écrit : De: Benny Malengier <ben...@gm...> Objet: Re: [Gramps-users] Another one of those requests for suggestions about 'how to'. Well, outside of some politicians, I'm not sure that this can happen easily. ;) Viewing my tree from my point of view, there's two separate trees that join at me. If by some chance a person appears in both, it'll happen so infrequently (in what I suspect is the majority of cases) it's not a big deal to copy it twice. Maybe I've done something wrong doing my reports. I've tried the options asking it to create/filter to show *only* the people connected to my father excluding my mother (and vice versa) but the output is either incomplete (not all connections are shown) or only specifically the direct lines back to their origins. Am I doing something wrong? Did I miss something obvious? No, filters should just be tested before use using the views, because it is difficult to create filters that grab the people you want. Because it is difficult, Gramps cannot do it automatically except for the general things you tried. As Jerome says, in 3.3 you can create a filter and use that to add a tag to a group of people. You can then create another filter to filter on this tag and use that for the website (a lot faster to filter on that as an extra plus). It is a way to use a filter to get most people you want, and then manually add the tag to the other people not yet included. You are right to be careful about privacy, putting data on the net of living people _will_ get you burned (hatemails, ....).
