Hi, A few more issues in the gramps.pot file: - Typos: - "smal," -> "small," - "modifiy" -> "modify" - Translation missing for the string "Witness name:" - Consistency issues: - "ScratchPad" is written also as "Scratch Pad" - Following should have period at the end as the clause in the box abov= e it in the Bug report assistant has one: --------------------- "If your email client is configured correctly you may be able to use this= " "button to start it with the bug report ready to send. (This will probabl= y " "only work if you are running Gnome)" --------------------- - Questions: - What the "Agency" attribute means? -> The word has many meanings, which one is intended? - What this translatable string means (reports?): "If set to True, event reports are shown on the Family View." Also: - (personal) event type list has some items at the bottom of the list whi= ch are not translated although they (e.g. Christening) *are* translated in the .po file. I think they might be some left-overs from the upgrade from version 2.0.11. How I can get rid of them? - Where from comes "Person filters" show in the dialog title of: Edit -> Person filter editor? I cannot translate it (currently it shows as "Henkil=F6 suotimet" instead of the correct "Henkil=F6suotimet= ") On Wednesday 27 December 2006 19:28, Eero Tamminen wrote: > The issues with strings: > "Matches markers of a partikular type" > -> particular/certain > (I'm not sure whether certain or particular would be better word here, > certain would be certainly shorther though. :-)) > > "Matches people with a marker of a particular value" > -> of a particular/certain *type* > ? > (I haven't yet used Gramps 2.2, but shouldn't all markers be of some > given type?) > > "Matches Families with a marker of a particular value" > -> a marker of a certain/particular type" > ? > > msgid "Matches family with the relationship type of a particular value" > -> with a relationship of a particular/certain type > ? > > msgid "Family with the relationship type" > -> <relationship type> > > "Matches objects matched by the specified filter name" > "Matches people matched by the specified filter name" > "Matches families matched by the specified filter name" > "Matches events matched by the specified filter name" > "Matches places matched by the specified filter name" > "Matches sources matched by the specified filter name" > "Matches media objects matched by the specified filter name" > "Matches repositories matched by the specified filter name" > -> by a filter with the specified name > > "Event with the particular type" > -> *a* certain/particular type > > "Matches event with the particular type " > -> ditto + extra space > > msgid "Matches people's names with a specified regular expression" > -> matches names or matches people with name matching a regexp > ? > > msgid "Default event GRAMPS ID pattern" > msgid "Default family GRAMPS ID pattern" > msgid "Default media object GRAMPS ID pattern" > msgid "Default person GRAMPS ID pattern" > msgid "Default place GRAMPS ID pattern" > msgid "Default repository GRAMPS ID pattern" > msgid "Default source GRAMPS ID pattern" > -> Default pattern for GRAMPS ...
