I would not recommend running HEAD branch of the CVS, but the reason is the database incompatibility, not gconf incompatibility. The development of the stable branch happens in the gramps20 branch. To check it out, use "-r gramps20" after "cvs checkout" or "cvs update": $ cvs checkout -r gramps20 gramps2 or, to update the existing CVS tree: $ cvs update -r gramps20 If the 2.0.x is installed on the system then no installation is necessary to run the CVS. Just do: $ cd src $ python gramps.py The gramps20 branch is compatible with 2.0.5 in everything: data format, settings, mime types, etc. Alex --=20 Alexander Roitman http://www.gramps-project.org |
