I would like to suggest that a fresh install of Gramps always starts with 'tip of the day' active. It never occured to me that it was there until I noticed it recently, I usually don't start looking through through Edit > Preferences until I've used a program for a while - having it active would have helped me earlier - most of quite valuable tips are things I've since learnt. and... Two small things: I think that "Enterng and Editing Data: Complete Description" might be a spelling mistake in the gramps manual (which I've just started reading and it's damn good!) and... is there a name for that person numbering system used in the text reports. I can't find a reference to it in the manual - It's not blindingly obvious what the numbers are for to people who haven't read such a report before - they expect the name to come first, so I'm writing a little explanation.
