[Gnuplot-info] Gnuplot and LaTeX

Hello Gnuplot users:

I can produce high quality drawings using Gnuplot with
terminal set to 'postscript eps enhanced color'. Then I use
LaTeX package overpic to put mathematical symbols and text 
(in the same mathematical and text fonts used in the body of
the main LaTeX document) wherever I want. Fine, but I wonder
if there isn't a more direct way to do this. Setting terminal
to 'latex' does the job but does not give me files of the same
quality. Can someone please tell me something about this? I
have googled for this already, but still not satisfied.
