Hello, im really new to Gnuplot, so my problem is probabely easy to solve. I did alot of searches in Google, found this forum, searched here...no solution for me yet. My problem is: I got a data file which looks like this: blib 4 73 ble 52 2 blu 6 236 bla 63 236 bla2 2 63 3 "fields" per line (seperating them with ";" doesnt work in my old gnuplot version..at least it doesnt know the set datafile separator command...so I use spaces). what I want is: first field is the xrange, which should be shown below the x-axis second and third fields are the y coords for two curves plot 'file.dat' using 2 t 'curve 1', \ plot 'file.dat' using 3 t 'curve 2' works to print the curves, but how do I get gnuplot to read the xrange from my file? Also, lets assume the data file is quite large with lets say 1000 lines, is there a way to print the graph to a file which is automatically scaled in a way, that every x-value is shown?
