[Gnuplot-info] Power operators

plot [-3:3] (1/3)**x

I think this should give me a nice curve starting at (-3,27), passing
through (0,1) and ending at (3,1/27), but it doesn't. It gives me a
horizontal line (0,0) to (3,0) and a warning that I have an empty y
range.  Any help would be appreciated.
