[Gnuplot-info] table output

Hola,

I need >>also<< tabular output of my data reading from external files.
The command

set term table

yields in a very poor output, each variable separately.
How can I get a rectangular table suitable for printing in the form


x1   y11  y12  y13 ..
x2   y21  y22  y23 ..
x3   y31  y32  y33 ..
..  .................


???

By the way: I use GNUPLOT in many ways and use it with my students.
