Hello gnuplot user's, I'm new here, sorry for what may be a silly question... I was very happy to find that 4.2 had histograms charts added, however, I have a question about it's usage. From the demos, it seems that it can only build that type of chart with multicolumn data files. And what I have is several 2 columns data files, produced by an app, with a parameter setting that changes between them. Example: # File1 |# File 2 |# File 3 | # x - y |# x - y |# x - y | 1 3.4 |1 3.6 |1 3.7 | 2 4.5 |2 2.3 |2 3.3 | 3 2.4 |3 1.1 |3 3.5 | ... ... ... Is there a way I can build an bar chart (histogram) out of these files ? Reconsidering the way the files are build isn't easy, as there's a lot of preliminary computing for each, I just can't switch easily from a setting to another. If not, maybe that's an idea of futur feature ? Thank you all, |
