Hello, I need to paint some figures (sphere, cone, hyperboloide, cylinder) using gnuplot. I have done all of them but I need to plot in the same output (PNG, for example). So, I think that I need to use the same coordinate system, else I need to use set multiplot and unset multiplot and I have too much problems with the point of view, scale, etc. etc. I have tried to paint, for example, a sphere, using cartesian system (I can do it with sphericals, but then I will have problems with other figures :-) ): ------------- set isosample 36,18 set ticslevel 0 set size 0.65,1.0 sphere(x,y)=(1-x**3-y**3)**(1/3) splot sphere(x,y) pause -1 ------------- Why is not working? What thing from gnuplot I am missing? I don't want to use multiplot and plot figures with differnt coordinates, for example this web page: http://t16web.lanl.gov/Kawano/gnuplot/plot3-e.html says: Usually it is difficult to adjust the position of each figure appropriately. There is no easy way to determine the values of origin , and you have to do it by "trial-and-error". And gnuplot input is something personalized for users of application, so I cannot do "try and error" there :-) thank you very much, -- Carles Pina i Estany GPG id: 0x8CBDAE64 http://pinux.info Manresa - Barcelona |
