Hello,

on the online documentation of gnuplot 4.0, there is no way for xtics
to have a fixed frequency.

Let's say i 'm on autoscale, so i don't know the limits, and if i want
only 3 tics, 1 for each limit and 1 in the midle, i have to calculate
it.

There is an autofreq, so could you plz add a "set xtics freq 3" like
setting?
