Please note that the above is a secondary copy.  The master copy (the 
one immediately editable) is http://gnuplot.sourceforge.net/help.html. 
So if you want to check back immediately, the sourceforge page is the 
one to look at.

As to the proposed changes: I've edited them in.

I'm not sure what's up with the links to freeduc and usherb.ca.  At the 
time I'm typing this, freeduc replies with a HTTP 500, usherb.ca times out.
