[Gnuplot-info] -persist

I have recently installed gnuplot 4.0 (gp400win32.zip) from the gnuplot  homepage on a MS windows machine.  I am not able to keep a plot  window open when I run a file from the command line.  I tried  putting a pause -1 in the script, have tried a '-' as the last argument  on the command line and '-persist' as the last argument on the command  line.  The script works because I am able to get the graph saved  as a .pgn file.  Any thoughts?
