[Gnuplot-info] restoring a lost gnuplot 4.0

Gentlemen,

Some of my computer files erased themselves (one of the joys of the =
windows operating system) and I lost much of value including gnuplot =
4.0.

Went to the gnuplot site to download 4.0, downloaded 4.0.0 tar.gz, and =
4.0 tar. zip.  When I try to extract them, a hall of mirrors develops =
wherein I always get back to where I started! It is virtually impossible =
to extract.  Cannot get any kind of setup.exe  What am I doing wrong?  =
There didn't seem to be any trouble the first time I downloaded and =
installed gnuplot 4.0 =20
