So if I understand well,  you mean that I can (say in a 2 curves plot) =

to do it. (the user's guide don't mention it if I read it well).   =20

May I ask you one more question : I tried to color in grey a graph with =
the
'filledcurves' option. Since I work with postscript terminal, I used =
'lt 9'
to produce the color. Unfortunately, the grey produced is darker than =
the
grey I need for my publication. Can you tell me how I can obtain a =
lighter
grey.

None short of not letting gnuplot draw any legends, so you can paint=20
your own if and where you want.

Err, by sticking less text into it? ;-)

Seriously, the only generic way of doing that is to change the default
font of your terminal driver (at 'set terminal' time, typically). Or =
you
can use a driver that offers special text formatting (postscript=20
enhanced mode, TeX, recently some more).
