Dear Gnuplot Developer Team, I don't want to make this long. I am using your software since 8 years irregularly when I need it. Just today I wrote a small german Introduction (http://www.deshalbfrei.org/ software:gnuplot) and I had a small impression of what I would really like to see. You already have the splot function, using 2 variables. Could you implement an additional 'qplot' with 3 variables, which paints the 4. dimension as a grayshade? I know there are a lot of perspective problems, as it would be needed to rotate it and splice it into several layers to have the overall impression of the function, but I think it would be a great idea to visualise the fourth orthogonal dimension. (you could splice it up into n terminal windows or something) Just an idea. With best regards, Carsten Busse |
