Hi, I met a problem when fitting data. I have two set of data, both of which are supposed to be a single exponential decay function. By setting f(x)=a*exp(-x/T)+b and fitting the data via a,T,b, I got some value for these parameters and it seems reasonable. The problem is, when looking at the plot, it is quite obvious that the second set of data has higher fluctuation than the first set, but the error bar provided by gnuplot was quite close for both fitted T and b for the two set of data. Could you please provide any explanation about this results? The data and fitting results are attached. Thank you.
