There's no way of doing that, with the data you have.  That dataset has=20
more points in your file than a plot can readably show, and there's=20
nothing gnuplot can do about that.  There is just no useful way to plot=20
one datapoint per second over an interval of one hour or more --- a=20
screen simply doesn't have 3600+ pixels next to each other.

So you'll have to downsample your dataset, considerably, or live
with getting a plot like the one you got.  In the examples, there are=20
some x intervals devoid of any data, so yes, you could split the x axis=20
at those points and thus gain a little usable resolution.  But quite=20
certainly not enough to avoid the basic problem.

gnuplot can help with the downsampling, in principle --- but I'm afraid=20
not if the x is a time/date axis.  For others, you could

	plot 'data' u (int($1/factor)*factor):2 smooth uniq w l

to get a display built by averaging all points in each interval of=20
<factor> seconds.
