[Gnuplot-info] Number of different line types in .Xwindows.

Hi,

I am new to gnuplot and am trying to plot many
graphs on one plot, and I find the limitation
to nine different line types quite restrictive.

Ideally I would like 6 colors in 5 different styles
(solid, dotted, dashed...) a total of 30 different lines.

[The plots comes in 6 different families with each
5 members. The different members are quite similar,
but I need to be able to identify them]

Via .Xdefaults I can choose between millions of colors
and over 10.000 different dotted types, but I have only
access to 9 at the time.....

I don't understand the underlying restriction but it would
be really nice to be able to specify more line types
in .Xwindows.

I have tried to specify line types above number 8 but
that is sadly not recognises.

I am currently running gnuplot 4.0 patchlevel 0 on linux.

Here is an example of what I would like to do :
