[Gnuplot-info] PNG terminal type on Mac OS X

I am new to GNU Plot. I'd like to use it as part of a cron job to track 
daily performance of my software project.

The default installation (4.0) does not have the terminal type "png" 
installed.

I would like to generate either jpg, gif, or png, or some other type of 
image format suitable for webpages, but "png" is not available on MacOS 
X.

Any suggestions?
