[Gnuplot-info] command line history

Hi,
I have succesfully installed gnuplot 4.0.0 patchlevel
0  on my linux redhat 8.0 kernel 2.4.20-28.8.
gnuplot works fine except I can not call any old
commands on the gnuplot command line. When I press the
arrow buttons I get OA  symbol. I use bash shell.
What should be done to correct this ?
