Actually, no, you're not getting technical enough here, which is a 
problem.  It makes it hard to understand what your problem actually is.
So please explain more exactly what exactly you're trying to achieve,
what commands you're passing to gnuplot to achieve it, and why you don't
like the result.

What window?  What terminal driver is in use, and why do you think
you can make it longer, but can't seem to achieve it?
