Dear listmembers,
I (propably) found a bug in gnuplot:
version: 4.0
OS: SuSE linux 4.0 (or other linux, I think OS does not matter here)

If you want arrows at the axes-labels this only works for non-log axes.
However, assuming the usage of the "graph" command the logscale setting (to
me!) seems meaningless:
graph should refer to a linear scaling from 0 to 1.0 no matter what the act=
ual=20
scaling on the axes might be.
If you set logscale i. e. on the x-axes you cannot put an arrow there.
Strange enough this is true for both x- and y-arrows even though (I'd
expect ...) that it should not matter for the x-arrow since there are no
negative values for x then.
See example I attached. Maybe I am on the wrong track ...
By the way: a chance to reproucably position arrows left and right of the
axes centered to the labeling would be a dream ... :-)

if you really want to see the pictures above - use some font
with constant spacing like courier! :-)
