Dear listmembers, I (propably) found a bug in gnuplot: version: 4.0 OS: SuSE linux 4.0 (or other linux, I think OS does not matter here) description: please see attached sample-file error.plt. If you want arrows at the axes-labels this only works for non-log axes. However, assuming the usage of the "graph" command the logscale setting (to me!) seems meaningless: graph should refer to a linear scaling from 0 to 1.0 no matter what the act= ual=20 scaling on the axes might be. If you set logscale i. e. on the x-axes you cannot put an arrow there. Strange enough this is true for both x- and y-arrows even though (I'd expect ...) that it should not matter for the x-arrow since there are no negative values for x then. See example I attached. Maybe I am on the wrong track ... By the way: a chance to reproucably position arrows left and right of the axes centered to the labeling would be a dream ... :-) Many thanks for a nice program, take care Dieter Jurzitza =2D-=20 =2D---------------------------------------------------------- | \ /\_/\ | | ~x~ |/-----\ / \ /- \_/ ^^__ _ / _ ____ / <=B0=B0__ \- \_/ | |/ | | || || _| _| _| _| if you really want to see the pictures above - use some font with constant spacing like courier! :-) =2D---------------------------------------------------------- |
