Well, as the saying goes, don't do that then. You're almost certainly abusing multiplot here. You can plot multiple datasets in a single command without resorting to mulitplot. It'll actually make the job simpler, too. The overdraws happen independent of the terminal driver --- only the consequences would vary, since most drivers don't draw their text antialiased. If you absolutely have to use multiplot, turn off all decorations after the first one of them which you don't want output repeatedly.
