[Gnuplot-info] Control on gnuplot

Hello,

I used to run gnuplot in background with
gnuplot -c fit.gnu foo.asc

I use pause -1 to visualize the intermediate steps, but
then, after a return, the application goes until the end.
How, after a pause, I could get the control on gunplot, i.e. by
running some gnuplot commands ? (by leaving the background mode)?
