Also, I'm wondering about the default terminal sizes:

wxt: 640x384
qt: 640x480
x11: 640x450

not that it matters much; it's just that the WXT terminal test output 
looks vertically scrunched compared to Qt.  Other terminals such as PNG 
use 640x480 default.
