Yes, I seem to have a problem similar to the
bug report in the link. 

I am on Linux Mint 18 (debian/Ubuntu based), and
I am using the gnuplot version that shipped with
the distro.

This leaves the behavior of the "bind" command when 
using qt. I saw that the qt terminal does run in a 
separate process - does this mean that I should not
expect "bind" to work, because there is no good way
to send a msg back to the gnuplot proc from the qt
terminal?
