[Gnuplot-info] Ellipse Carving?

I am not sure if I have the question right.

What I seek to do is plot an ellipse quadrant by quadrant.

Say the range from 0 to 90?

In explicit mode such as set object ellipse at 1,1 size 3,1.5 

then polar and parametric.

Simple code examples will be GREATLY appreciated.

The ultimate goal is wide curves (not pi driven), ones with low curvature.

Maybe there is a better way?

I looked for "plot arc" that search was not immediately productive, \
....but it's late...y'all know the rest, I'm sure.
