[Gnuplot-info] fit function ?

Sorry about my ignorance about gnu, as I am newbie ...


I am confused about following type of function



f(x) = b/x**nb * exp(y_(y)/k)


f(x,y) = (b/(x**nb))*exp(y/k)


Any help to  understand the difference or similarity is appreciated
