[Gnuplot-info] 3d plots with error

Dear Experts,
I am learning the gnu plotting.

I have a simple problem.
I have data file  like this 
x y value_at_x_y error_on_value

I would like to have the 3D plot with errors on the points 

Another question 
I fit this data with function of the type f(x,y). 
Now I would like to have plot  of data points with the fit values for each
bin of y  so that my plots look like two dimensional ( in other words, I
would like to have the projections of y on x)  

Any help will be appreciated.
