[Gnuplot-info] gap between xtics in histogram

Hello,
I want to increase the distance between xtics in a histogram chart. Each xtic contains 5 bars, therefore the bars from one xtic are really close to bars from bars in its neighbor xtics.

The only setting I see is to increase the gap value like this

   set style histogram cluster gap 2 

However, I noticed that increasing the gap value will result in narrower bars.

Is there any way to increase the gap while keeping the bar width constant?
