qt 4.8.6
wxGTK 2.8.12
gnuplot 4.6.5 and 5.0rc1

wxt, x11 --> work (both 'noraise' options​, and space-bar switching to
console)
qt --> does not work (neither function)

​I played with windows focus mode (click-to-focus, focus-follows-mouse,
etc...) --
changing the policy does not seem to make any difference.​

​Also using either Gnome or  KDE Plasma desktop does not make a difference.​
