[Gnuplot-info] Fwd: histograms with categories

Hi all,

I have a set of performance data, which look like this:
<timestamp>;<category with a string>;<value>

I would like to have histograms per category. There is no list of
categories available. Is there any way to do this with gnuplot or I have
to use some other tool like awk to filter the data?
