Thanks QtCore.pc contains the same incorrect (build) location .

/usr/lib/qt4 exists but does not have bin or bin/uic..


It would have been interesting to test gnuplot's qt terminal but I don't 
have time to chase this down now.

Thanks for the the help. At least I  have an up to the minute gnuplot 
build now.
