This can be overcome to some extent by explicitly defining rgb colour for each plot line etc. but it's a time waster and gets rather messy. In fact this tends to mean that I don't use png terminal at all now. I use wxt clipboard button and past into a graphics editor to save a png. Obviously, text extent is the other big inconsistency between terminals. If easing of the strict BC policy ( which is excellent BTW ) for the jump to v5 allows something to be done about text extent, that would be a MAJOR improvement. /Peter |
